About Us

Perks Reclaimed was founded in 2019 by Anna Perks as a building material reuse company based in Commerce City, Colorado. Since receiving a grant from CDPHE to open Denver’s first “deconstruction warehouse” the goal has been simple: Resell high-quality reclaimed building materials from our own local projects back into communities in the Denver and Boulder area. As a certified woman- and minority-owned business, we’ve diverted more than 10 million pounds of materials from landfills through reuse.

Perks Reclaimed is the resale arm of Perks Deconstruction, Colorado’s trusted leader in sustainable demolition and material reuse. Materials are sourced directly from Perks Deconstruction projects, where structures are carefully taken apart to recover what still has value. Materials are then donated to local nonprofits or brought to Perks Reclaimed for resale. The result is a closed-loop system: Materials are salvaged locally and made available again at accessible price points.

Where Our Building Materials Come From

Our inventory reflects what’s coming out of residential and commercial projects across the Denver and Boulder area. That includes flooring, cabinets, doors, windows, appliances, lumber, and a wide range of other materials. Many of these offer a level of durability and quality that’s hard to find in new materials today.

We especially see this with salvaged lumber. Much of what we salvage comes from homes built in the 1950s-1970s and other mid-century structures, where the lumber still carries a level of quality that stands apart from most modern material. While not always old-growth, a lot of it comes from older trees with tighter grain, which often results in denser, more durable wood than what you’ll typically find in today’s box-store lumber. You can feel it when you pick it up… the weight, the solidity, the way it’s held up over time. Along with that material quality, reclaimed lumber is often more resistant to decay and more affordable than buying new, making it a practical option for builders, contractors, and homeowners working on real projects, not just specialty or finish work.

LEED v5 Goals, Zero Waste and Circularity in Colorado

Our goal is to make building material reuse practical. By keeping materials in circulation, Perks Reclaimed helps reduce landfill waste, supports Colorado’s Zero Waste efforts, and contributes to diversion and LEED v5 project goals while offering a more affordable alternative to buying new.

Our customers range from contractors to artists to homeowners and DIYers. The shop is open to the public Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM and Saturday, 10 AM - 5 PM (closed on Sunday). Shoot us a message online or come say “hi” in person and see what’s in stock!

What sets us apart from other used building material stores?

  1. We source from and serve our local communities, creating a circular economy that keeps materials and value close to home.

  2. We’re committed to sustainability and making meaningful impact through waste reduction, reuse, repair, repurposing, and circular practices.

  3. We are on a mission to divert demolition waste from landfills and give it new life by salvaging, reusing, and reselling building materials at affordable prices — making reclaimed materials accessible to everyone in Denver and beyond.

  4. We believe high-quality, sustainable building materials and DIY guidance should be available to everyone — regardless of budget or experience.

  5. We find value where others see waste — creatively repurposing materials and ideas to serve both people and the planet.

We operate with purpose: To transform waste into opportunity — creating local jobs, supporting equitable development, and making sustainable building the norm, not the exception.

FAQ

Reclaimed materials are eco-friendly, often higher in quality than newer alternatives, and add character and history to your projects. You also help reduce landfill waste and support sustainable building practices.

No, we don’t. We have numbers of local companies that can do delivery for you but you will have to arrange the delivery.

All materials are inspected for quality and usability. While they may show signs of age or use, we ensure they’re structurally sound and ready for reuse.
